Visiting Kumamoto was a delightful experience, especially with the convenience of being near a vibrant shopping arcade filled with restaurants and shops. One of the highlights was definitely the spacious Deluxe Triple room we stayed in. it was clean and quiet, providing us with the relaxation we needed after exploring the city. We loved taking evening walks to nearby attractions like the Kumamoto Castle, which was just a short stroll from the hotel.

Loved the cozy King Room but found the onsen rules a bit strict.

Room in the King Room was spacious and had a lovely view. However, the onsen cleanliness could be improved.

Lack of clothing shelves made staying organized a challenge!!! Spa area could feel overcrowded despite low monitoring readings!!! Interior design felt a bit generic and could use a fresh touch!!! The cold pool seemed unnecessary!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Candeo Hotels Kumamoto Shinshigai. The rooftop onsen provided breathtaking views of the city, and the spacious King room was beautifully clean and comfortable. Staff members were attentive and provided exceptional service throughout my visit.

The rooftop onsen was a highlight — soaking in the hot bath with night views was just perfect. The location made it easy to explore nearby restaurants and shops, but the room was quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. Overall, it felt really welcoming.

candeo hotels is a fantastic spot right in the center of town. it's conveniently close to a shopping mall and tram station, making everything accessible. the corner twin room was modern and spacious, and the staff were genuinely friendly. breakfast was excellent with a great variety to choose from.

i had a wonderful stay with a phenomenal hotel experience that perfectly catered to my love for walking through the city, as it was just a few steps from the contemporary art museum and the charming shimotori shotengai, giving me the chance to explore the local culture and enjoy delicious ramen whenever i wanted.
